A Night in White Satin
Pre COVID world, it was a huge passion of mine to explore the world and plan photoshoots in those unique spots. Obviously since the start of COVID, travel looks a lot different and potentially non existent for some.
Knowing Saskatchewan has so much to offer in it’s own humble way, I made a decision to explore my own home province. I had noticed so many cool little hidden spots popping up on Instagram I made it my mission to go find them… and so I did!
My incredible in-laws, Don & Brenda, happen to be very well traveled and super knowledgeable about the province and kindly offered to chaperone myself and S.J. to the Big Muddy in south eastern Saskatchewan. We overnighted in Ogema, in an incredible B&B (Burns’ House Bed and Breakfast) - which I highly recommend by the way.
The purpose of the trip was to visit the incredible Badlands but to also make use of the adventure and plan an editorial shoot at Castle Butte. We shot for about 3 hours in the area in +36 degree heat, and sipped on cans of Bubly, and we I walked away with over a thousand beautiful images. Here are a few.
